What
is CyberMusic Surplus?
CyberMusic Surplus is one of the largest independent distributors
of music in the United States. CyberMusic Surplus has also offered
music through direct sales of its catalog to consumers for over
ten years. CyberMusic Surplus' consumer database consists of over
100,000 satisfied music buyers.
Why
don't you offer all CDs?
Currently, the music offered on the CyberMusic Surplus site is focused
solely on the record labels we carry. We know these labels,
their artists and music, thus are able to provide more in-depth
information, better recommendations and assure that each is presented
in a manner that is indicative of their goals and values. When we
say CyberMusic Surplus is "Where Music Matters," we mean it.
Are
there any costs of membership?
There is no charge for membership, nor are there any terms or required
minimum purchase.
What
are your payment methods?
At this time, CyberMusic Surplus accepts Visa, Mastercard and InternetCash™
payments. All prices on the site are in U.S. currency.
Foreign exchange rates are at the discretion of Visa, Mastercard
and InternetCash™, and are considered outside the control of CyberMusic
Surplus.
How
can you sell your CDs at such low prices?
CyberMusic Surplus specializes in overstock and deleted titles,
also known as remainders. This is why our prices are so low.
Do
you have a catalog?
The CyberMusic catalog is available on our catalogs
page. Unfortunately, we are unable to mail out hard copies
of the catalog listing.
Can
you send me the catalog for one of your distributed labels?
No, we do not have the catalogs for any of our distributed labels.
You can search by label on our Expanded
Search page and use the drop down menu for Labels to browse
a label's catalog.
Is
it really safe to use my credit card over the Internet?
At CyberMusic Surplus, the answer is a resounding, "Yes!"
CyberMusic Surplus offers Secure On-Line Ordering, which means you
can use your credit card for purchases with complete confidence.
Our site utilizes 128 bit encryption technology, which means it
is very, very difficult for anyone to decode your order and capture
your credit card number. This is the same technology implemented
by the majority of Internet merchants that are serious about protecting
the information their customers transmit over the Internet.
Also available
to the consumer is the use of InternetCash™. InternetCash™
is a disposable prepaid card that is purchased at local retailers
and used to shop online. It's an easy, safe and private alternative
to credit cards, providing everyone the freedom to purchase goods
and service over the Internet. Their patent-pending technology
ensures the highest degree of security. Neither the merchant
nor Internetcash.com will ever see your card number. When
you shop online with InternetCash™, you'll benefit from the same
freedom and privacy that you experience when shopping with the cash
in your wallet. For more information, visit
InternetCash™.
Are
you going to sell my email address to a third party?
No, we will not make the e-mail addresses collected on our site
available to any other company or organization. Click here
to learn more about our privacy policy.
I've
forgotten my password. Can you send it to me?
For your security, our Customer Service Department does not have
access to your password. To have your password sent to you
by email, go to the Registered Member Login
screen, type in your email and click the "Remember Me"
button.
How
can I add or delete items on my order?
If you entered the order recently enough to assume it hasn't been
mailed out yet, email us at mailcs@allegro-music.com
or call us at 800-288-2007 to make additions or deletions to your
order.
Can
I send a check or money order instead of using a credit card?
Yes. Simply add items to your shopping cart as though you were going
to place the order online. Print out the shopping cart and mail
it with a check or money order to: Allegro Corporation, Attn: Web
Orders, 14134 NE Airport Way, Portland, OR 97230-3443.
I'm
in a hurry. Can I fax an order?
Yes. Simply add items to your shopping cart as though you were going
to place the order online. Print out the shopping cart and fax it
to: 503-257-9061.
How
do I know if a title is available?
CyberMusic Surplus only displays titles that are currently in stock.
In rare cases, a title may be in stock when you place the order,
and sold out by the time your order is processed. When this
happens, the title will appear on your invoice with the note:
DELETED-DO NOT REORDER.
How
can I make changes to my account information?
When you go to the Registered Member Login
screen and type in your email address and password, you will be
asked to confirm your account information. At this time, click
the Edit button to change the information on your account.
What
Does Back-Order Mean?
In rare instances, you may order a music CD or video that we do
not have in stock. Should this happen, we'll need to order a copy
from the record label (most of the time, this process is already
in progress). Once we receive the CD from the label, we'll immediately
ship it directly to you, with no charge for shipping. Most Internet
CD sites will give you the choice to wait, and have the entire order
shipped at once, or break your order into two orders, and charge
you shipping twice. At CyberMusic Surplus, we feel it's our fault
if we're out of stock on something, not your fault, so we'll ship
what we have, and send the back-ordered item to you when it arrives,
at no extra charge.
Do
you charge me for an entire order, even if one or more of the items
is back-ordered?
No, CyberMusic Surplus only charges your credit card after a product
has shipped, thus you aren't charged for back-ordered items until
they leave our warehouse.
How
much is shipping?
For a complete breakdown of shipping costs, please see our Customer
Service page.
How
long will it take to receive my order?
Music orders of 1-9 CDs for U.S. delivery are shipped via USPS 1st
Class Mail. Orders of 10+ CDs are shipped FedEx Ground. Average
delivery times are 2-7 days.
Orders for
delivery outside of the United States are shipped via International
Airmail - Small Pack. Because your parcel will pass through customs,
your shipment may take as long as 8 weeks to arrive.
How
do I enter a different address for shipping?
There are two separate sections for billing information and shipping
information. Simply complete the Shipping Information portion of
check-out with the name and address of the intended recipient.
Do
you have rush orders?
Yes, please see the expedited shipping options on our Customer
Service page.
What
is InternetCash™?
InternetCash™ is a disposable prepaid card that is purchased at
local retailers and used to shop online. It is an easy, safe and private alternative to credit cards,
providing everyone the freedom to purchase goods and services over
the Internet.
How
Does InternetCash™ Work?
InternetCash.com’s patent-pending technology ensures the highest
degree of security. Neither
the merchant nor InternetCash.com will ever see your card number
and PIN. When you shop online with InternetCash™, you'll benefit
from the same freedom and privacy that you experience when shopping
with the cash in your wallet.
How
do I return something, and how will I be credited?
CyberMusic Surplus offers a 30-day, no-questions-asked returns policy.
If, for any reason, you want to return something to us, simply repackage
the CD(s), including a copy of the invoice, and mail it to:
Allegro Corporation, Attn: Consumer Returns, 14134 NE Airport Way,
Portland, OR 97230-3443. Upon receipt of your package, a full
refund of the purchase price will be issued to your credit card.
This credit does not include shipping and handling.
The
jewel case on my CD arrived cracked. Can you replace it?
Sure. Drop us an email,
and we'll get one out to you right away.
What's
the best way to search for a title?
If you know the CD you are looking for, it's best to start with
either the artist name or title of the CD. With solo artist
names, enter the artist's last name first, followed by a comma and
the person's first name, i.e. Harris, Sam. With CD titles,
omit articles such as "The" and "A." Finally,
click Part of Name or Part of Title to ensure all
search possibilities come up.
If
a CD by one of your distributed labels is available abroad, but
hasn't been released yet in the US, can you import it for me?
No, we can only sell CDs that our distributed labels have released,
through us, in the U.S. and Canada.
How
do I listen to your Real Audio clips?
To listen to our audio clips, you will need a Real Audio player.
Download one for free at the Real
Audio website. Once you have a Real Audio player, all
you need to do is click on a song title to hear the clip.
Can
I purchase a gift for someone on your site?
