The search options of this website can prove to be very useful in your search for music. Here, you can find some help on the different ways to search our databases.
Quick Search
The Quick Search field is located on every page in the upper right hand corner, is for quick and effective results. To use the Quick Search function, simply type in the name of Artist, Album, Category, or Sub-Category. You must type the information you are looking for with no grammatical errors. Your item should appear on the results page. If you get no results, or don't get the results you wanted, look over your information again and make sure it is correct.
Expanded Search
The Expanded Search portion of this site is aimed to those who want the most precise results as possible. On the Expanded Search page, you will notice the many different fields.
Each of these searches can be used in conjunction with eachother.
To search for a specific Artist or Performer, enter the information you wish to find in the "Search For Artist/Performer:".
NOTICE: Underneath this field are two buttons. One says "Exact Name" and one says "Part of Name." If you do not know the exact name, pick the Part option underneath, and just enter in part of their name. This will search the entire database for any name containg your entry. Otherwise, for the most precise results, chose the exact option.
To search for specific Title, enter in your information you wish to find in the "Search For Title:." This field also has Exact and Part buttons, if you wish to know how to use the Part and Exact buttons, please read the above NOTICE.
To search for works that are from a certain label, enter the name of the label in the "Search By Label:." Spelling is key when searching in this field. If there are no results, and you know you have spelled the the name of the label company correctly, there is a chance that we do not carry that Label.
To search by category, just select the category from the list provided. This search tends to display many results, we suggest that you use another search along with this search to minimize results.
To search by sub-category, enter in the field what you wish to find with no grammatical errors. Exact and WildCard searches can also be incorporated into this search also. For information on how to use the Exact or Part searches, see the above NOTICE.
The sort by feild is present so our visitors can organize their searches by Artist, Title, Label, or Release Date. To use this function, chose from the list given in the field.
